Top 75 employer for social mobility
Our recognition in the Social Mobility Employer Index 2021
Our recognition in the Social Mobility Employer Index 2021
We’re recognised as a Top 75 Employer in the Social Mobility Employer following the launch of the 2021 Index. This is a great recognition for the hard work our Social Mobility Committee has put in over the years.
Since 2017, the Index has grown to become the leading authority on employer-led social mobility. It assesses and ranks UK employers on the actions they take to ensure they are open to talent from all social backgrounds.
There are two elements: questions directed at employers, and an employee survey. We were evaluated across seven areas:
- work with young people
- routes into the employer
- the attraction of staff
- recruitment and selection
- data collection
- progression of staff and experienced hires
- advocacy.
These are then benchmarked against one another and the data and insights from this process are published in an annual Key Findings Report featuring a ranking of the 75 top-performing employers on social mobility, with Taylor Wessing recognised in 68th position last year.
This is a great recognition for the hard work our Social Mobility Committee has put in over the years.
We're delighted to have been recognised as a top 75 employer by the Social Mobility Foundation in its Social Mobility Employer Index 2021. This is an acknowledgment of our ongoing contribution to efforts to create a level playing field for all individuals, regardless of socio-economic background, to gain access to opportunities within the legal sector. Diversity of backgrounds and thinking within our teams is invaluable to our business, our culture and our client relationships.
